Saturday, the Wildcats seemed to get the message. The Cats held Rider, another prolific outside shooting team, to 0 of 9 three's in the first half and 4 of 17 for the game (23.5 percent) and John Wall helped ignite the explosive UK offense to ride the Broncs right out of the building in a 92-63 win. Kentucky got 21 points and a career-high 11 assists out of Wall for his first career double-double and 19 points and 18 rebounds from Patrick Patterson--his 24th career double-double. Daniel Orton scored 10 of his 14 points in the first half and after picking up two early fouls and playing just three minutes in the first half, DeMarcus Cousins scored 16 of his 18 points in the final 20 minutes. Leading 39-24, UK ended the first half on a 12-2 run over the final 3:25 to take a 51-26 lead into the locker room. Overall, Rider shot just 31 percent from the field. Comments (0)
