It won't be easy luring center Aaric Murray away from West Virginia, or one of the Big Five schools in Philadelphia, but that's exactly what Kentucky head coach Billy Gillispie has been trying to do.

Murray, a 6-feet-11 senior at Glen Mills School in Concordville, Pa., has spoken to Gillispie several times and Glen Mills coach Craig Mellinger numerous times.

As a junior Murray averaged 19 points and 11 rebounds. He spent the summer playing with his Glen Mills teammates in a summer league, attended the NBA Players Association camp, Reebok U and played in the Eastern Invitational.

"He's very athletic," Mellinger said. "He can post up and play facing the basket from 15 feet in.

"He has great hands, good feet and is very agile, but is still a work in progress. I don't know what Aaric's ceiling is. He's an extremely good passer. As a coach, there's a major comfort level when the ball gets in his hands and needs to be distributed."

Though Murray is strongly considering West Virginia and other local schools, he hasn't ruled out UK. In the next few weeks he will set up visits and plans on signing in November.
